I’ve come to my senses.

I've come to my senses.

Actually I don’t think I have. I had a great day at the MCA Zine Fair yesterday and I’m feeling pretty happy, so I thought I’d ruin it by going to Eveleigh Artisans Market next Sunday the 2nd of June.

I’ll have most of what I had at the Zine Fair there, but also some of my hand made notebooks and calico bags, to carry you shopping, books, zines, whatever.

So thank you all you zine freaks who came out yesterday. It makes it all worthwhile.

See you next year, or at the Many Zine Fair in September. Now that should be hilarious as I might be teaching how to bind books. Like I know anything.

Thanks everyone.

MCA Zine Fair

My next big adventure will be at the MCA Zine Fair  on Sunday the 26th of May 11am to 4pm. All the Superstars of the ZINE world will be there I suppose. It’s a great chance to buy lots of cheap art and literature that you pretty much won’t find anywhere else. As there’s no money in it, you won’t find this stuff at Comic Festivals, book shops, or boutique design markets. Get down there and see the future of publishing. Or just grab something that will never see the light of day again.

Plus you can pick up my latest releases.

Waffy Waf and the Big Dream Screen, which is getting prepared for the stage show.

and The Maze, my latest illustrated version of one of Elizabeth JMW’s great story tales.

What’s happening?

OK, from going on about how I was going to quit everything, now May is jam packed with events.

The Waffy Waf is out there, and with me this Sunday at the Eveleigh Artisans Market. This is the super Limited First edition. Comes with CD of great kids music. If you’re nice to me I may even sign it.

I’m just printing up my latest Zine The Maze, which I’ve collaborated with Canadian writer Elizabeth JMW.

Both of these and more will be available from me at:——

On Sunday the 5th of May I will be at Eveleigh Artisans Market 10am to 3pm. Mainly as I want to catch up on the gossip with other stall holders. There’s a bit to find out in the intriguing world of Artisans Markets.

And

I’ve made it into the MCA Zine Fair  on Sunday the 26th of May 11am to 4pm. I’ll keep you updated about that closer to the time.

Thanks.

Nothing else is planned at the moment. But I’ll let you know.

I didn’t quite make it – but plenty of exciting news anyway.

Thanks for those who came and said hello on Sunday. It makes it all worthwhile. I didn’t quite get the pictures done for Elizabeth JMW’s story tale The Maze, but I hope to get it done this week. I’m trying to make it extra fancy so it’s taking a little bit longer, but not much.

I’ve also just received a message that the Waffy Waf CD’s are getting made, so that looks like being ready later this week. Go to Waffy’s facebook page for up to the minute news.

Back at the Markets

I’ll be at Eveleigh Artisans Markets this Sunday the 7th of April, 10am to 3pm.  It will be moved to inside the Carriageworks building, which is just next door, so don’t panic if you see it’s not under the usual shed bit. I have a bunch of new things, including a new book by Elizabeth JMW. I’m just putting the finishing touches to her story The Maze.

Hope to see you there. Click HERE for more information.

New Zine – Let’s Ride – Out Now!!!

While I was trying to get out of other things I started doing these water-colours of people on various animals. Now they all collected together in this beautiful volume, with little poems I wrote to accompany them .

First novella – Now in print – The Universe is Out There – Pilgrimms Progressive Rock!

scan-f325

It’s only taken 5  years, but I finally got this printed. Hopefully we won’t be waiting this long for the next installment.

My first novella, is a story of two Pilgrimms going on a journey to find the famed Universe City. They don’t know when they start their travels, when they leave the land of toil, with leaves of oil and the soil made of rust  that the Universe City is their destination.

Join them as they meet many new friends, including Jezebel Truelove, a jilted bride rat, and Ken Do, the hairy man. Worry for them when they face many trials, such as crossing the the cross roads, and the their journey through the undergrounds.

48 page book, with numerous black and white illustrations by little old  me. 21cm X 13cm, with fancy colour cover.

The book is suitable for children but I wasn’t really writing it targeting anyone in particular. I just wrote the little chapters one a day in July 2008.

Includes many references to yummy food.

Buy it HERE.

Where I won’t be

Just so you know, I won’t be at the Eveleigh Markets this Sunday. I can’t be bothered. I should be at the April markets, but then again…..

I will however be in Canberra later on the 23rd of March at the CanberraZine Emporium. So if you’re there come and say hello.

But I have more exciting news of big things afoot. Stay tuned.
