I’ll be at Redwater Markets this Saturday the 20th October, from about 9am to 4pm, under the trees in Redfern Park, corner of Chalmers St. and Redfern St.
Hope you can make it.
Unless it rains of course. Then I’m not leaving the house.

My friend Joseph Carlough asked me a little while ago to do some pictures for a zine he’s creating using the book Ghosts I have Seen, by Violet Tweedale. And it’s available now, HERE. It looks pretty good. Buy it
Or Else!
And all the better it is.
I’ll be a Eveleigh Markets, Wilson Street, Darlington 10am to 3pm, this Sunday the 7th of October. Come and visit if you wish.
As it says above, I’ll be at the TINA Zine Fair in Newcastle this Sunday the 30th September from 10am to 4pm. Come and visit if it’s at all possible. More (not much more) information here.
And I’ll be back at Eveleigh Markets in Sydney the following Sunday the 7th of October.
Out very soon. My new booky zine of photo poems. Old nicked photo poems.
Profoundly silly.
Available on ETSY, or the Newcastle Zine fair on the 30th September.
I’m going to be at the Manly Zine Fair, in Manly Library on th 15th of September 11am to 2pm. It’s only a little zine fair, but should be fun, and it’s a nice place to spend the day. It’s part of Sydney but feels a world away. I’m hoping to have a few of Elizabeths zines there on the day.
I thought I’d give another plug for my friend Elizabeth in Canada, for her new zine,The Candy makers Daughter. It’s really more of a novella than a zine, at 44 pages. Only $4. Bargain and brilliant. Find it here, or click on the picture.
Here’s what it’s about,
What is the secret ingredient to the Candy Maker’s most delicious chocolates? Love. But since the death of his wife, his one true love, the Candy Maker has lost the ability to create his most special chocolates. When a foreign king demands the chocolates, the Candy Maker’s Daughter takes it upon herself to go on a journey to find true love and save her father. But will her heart ever find what she is seeking? And will she make it back in time to save her father?
398 is a litzine of fairy-tale-like stories by Elizabeth J. M. W.
398#12 is just one story: The Candy Maker’s Daughter, but it is much longer than previous 398 stories. This zine is 1/2 sized, 44pages and text heavy.
And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever: Therefore, the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.—Genesis iii, 22-24
Yesterday I ventured to the lands of the East. It was not pretty. I won’t rant about it now, but that place is not so friendly to me. SInce the Beckett’s have been banished from the Eastern suburbs, there is no place for me there any more. I tried, but it is not ot be. So I will stay here in Redfern and I will go West of Eden later next month. But first I will be at the Eveleigh Markets once again this Sunday the 2nd of September, at Carriage Works, Wilson Street Darlington 10am to 3pm.
It’s not perfect but the people there inderstand me. Well a little bit.
How posh. I’ll be in Rose Bay, where previous generations of Beckett’s lost my family fortune. It could have been my hood. But fate was not so kind. Or maybe it was, because I suspect there are a few messed head around there. And my life is really pretty wonderful. But it could have been better………. So I will be there on Sunday for ART IN THE PARK which is in Lyne Park Rose Bay (the one by the water) from 10am to 4pm. I think the idea is that all those wealthy people there will come down with their wads of hard earned cash and bestow a small part of it to us struggling artists. I would like to think this is what would happen. But I don’t have much hope.
This Saturday the 18th of August I will hopefully be at the Redwater Markets, just around the corner from me in Redfern Park, on on the corner of Elizabeth and Redfern Streets. From 8am to 4pm supposedly. I don’t know if I’ll last that long. If it doesn’t rain of course. Then I won’t be there. Or anyone else for that matter.
If you can’t or won’t make that I’ll be at Art In The Park in Rose Bay on Sunday the 26th Of August. I’ll mostly have paintings at that for all the wealthy not to buy.
