So it’s only just over two months till my picture party. Nothing seems to be really finished yet, but I’m getting there. Just got to keep at it and moving along.

Street art with me.
So I’m running Street Art workshops for teenagers at Manly Library every Tuesday through June. But as I’m pretty chicken shit, I’m going for the angle of how not to get in trouble by the law. So it’s all temporary and not actually defacing anything.
First one on Tuesday the 7th of June is on how to make tie-up or tags that you tie to street furniture, poles and fences.

I will also have on display some of the large protesters last seen in public in 2014 at Waterloo Library. They’ve been itching to get out. Their time has come.

I’ve got nothing
So I’ve got to get a blurb ready for the picture party that’s coming up August 27 and 28, but haven’t even finished a single painting. And I don’t have a title. Maybe book of miracles, but it’s looking more like book of crap at the moment.
But come along anyway as the food is always great. Actually I’m more excited about the food. It’s something you can rely on in these time of trouble.
I was also thinking of calling it Jewels and Fools.

Lipstick on a pig
I’ll be having a picture party in August at the Watch House in Balmain. This painting was from a previous show, so won’t be in the new one. But it represents what you will find there.
You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.
Which pretty much sums up my pictures. All smoke and mirrors. But then again she’s a pretty fetching pig.
Being a bad influence
Manly library is getting me to run some workshops in June on how to make street art. It’s kind of hilarious really, but there you go.
I like that it mentions that I started my bullshit arts festival. Which reminds me I should be doing a bit more of that.
